Credible Threat by Heather Woodhaven is a Love Inspired Suspense novel. Set in the picturesque little town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where the scenery is as breath-taking as the danger. Deputy US Marshal Kurt Brock is brought in to protect a federal judges’ granddaughter. Someone wants her dead and it’s Kurt’s job to figure out who and why. Kurt is also given instructions to keep things strictly professional. Rebecca thinks the attacks have something to do with the suspicious evidence she uncovered while auditing the resort in town. Now Kurt and Rebecca must survive so they can reveal the would-be killer’s secrets. A must read for fans of fast-paced suspense with a little romance thrown in. Kurt & Rebecca revealed little bits of themselves throughout the story. Rebecca confessed her insecurities and Kurt helped her see a different perspective. The story moved along at a good pace. I was afraid there would be a lot of “accountant talk” but there wasn’t. I really enjoyed the book and would highly recommend the author.
