Code of Valor by Lynette Eason is the third book in her Blue Justice series. The story starts off with a bang and keeps you on the edge of your seat till the end. Detective Brady St. John just wants a few days of peace, quiet and rest. Instead he rescues a damsel in distress. Emily Chastain has no idea why someone is trying to kill her all she knows is that she must escape. Then Brady comes to her aid and she finally has someone she can trust. I liked how Emily was able to change her view of herself with help from her friends. It shows how surrounding yourself with the positive can affect our attitude. Lynette draws her readers in and doesn’t let them go; even after the book ends the characters linger with you. For lovers of romantic suspense, this is a must read!
