Bride by Blackmail

Bride by Blackmail by Debbie Lynne Costello is the first book in her Moonlight and Magnolia series. Accused of a theft she didn’t commit; Charlotte Jackson is being blackmailed into marriage to save her family’s reputation. This story takes place in 1880’s Charleston, South Carolina. So, you get a glimpse of southern high society. As in any story you have the person that you do not like and you have the hero. This one is no exception. I found myself cheering for Duncan Mackenzie even though he had a different idea on how to win Charlotte’s affection. This was a very entertaining read!
