They uncover lies, murder and deep, dark family secrets that could squash the fragile feelings developing between Toni and Clay. Ms. Sleeman has a way of taking those sensitive subjects that you see in the headlines and weaving them into a story with grace, understanding and compassion without letting go of the danger and suspense. I enjoyed watching the feelings between Clay and Toni develop. He was such a gentleman. It was great to see the interaction between all of the Byrd family members. It makes you wish you were part of the family group!
