Present Danger by Elizabeth Goddard is the first book in her Rocky Mountain Courage series. US Forest Service Special Agent Terra Conners and former FBI Special Agent Jack Tanner are called in to investigate a dead body found in the national forest. What they uncover could cost them their very lives. Terra and Jack were a very likable team. I thought the chemistry between them made a very good balance for all the suspense and mystery in the story. The surprise twist at the end was awesome and very unexpected! A great beginning to the series.
