To Treasure an Heiress by Roseanna M. White is the second book in her Secret of the Isles series. Beth Tremayne loves a good adventure. After finding a map and some old letters she is sure that she is on the trail of her greatest adventure – pirate treasure! When danger comes calling, she must grudgingly accept the help of Lord Sheridan; a man she can’t abide. The story starts out with Beth being a brat. She eventually settles down to someone you can tolerate. Lord Sheridan on the other hand was awesome. I loved his sense of humor! There were some great side characters too. After a very slow start the story gained momentum about a hundred pages in and turned out be an interesting read.
