Silent Shadows
Silent Shadows by Natalie Walters is the third book in her Harbored Secrets series. Nurse Pecca Gallegos moved to Walton, Georgia so that her son would not be influenced by the gang that his father belonged to. Working as a nurse in a home for wounded veterans she meets Army Captain Colton Crawford. When Pecca is targeted Colton becomes her protector. I loved the way all the vets joked with each other. This book was awesome, with just the right amount of humor, suspense and r

The Traitor's Pawn
The Traitor’s Pawn by Lisa Harris is a stand-alone suspense filled novel. FBI Agent Jack Shannon arrives in Corpus Christi, Texas to find a traitor. He joins the search for a missing detective, Aubrey Grayson, the woman he used to be in love with. This story starts out with an adrenaline pumping start and keeps it up all the way through. I loved the way that Aubrey was always in the thick of the action. She didn’t back down from danger. Past secrets have a way of coming to li

Star of Persia: Esther's Story
Star of Persia by Jill Eileen Smith is a stand-alone Biblical story. Ms. Smith tells the Biblical story of Esther from the scriptural view with bits of history thrown in. The story had plenty of palace intrigue and followed pretty closely to the Biblical account. I’m not sure I agree with the way Xerxes was portrayed, but it made for a very interesting read.
